HOW TO FIX YOUR LEAKY RUSTY CANTEEN
FOR JUST - $2.00
If canteen is rusty: Throw a handful of nuts and bolts inside your canteen. Shake vigorously to knock the rust lose. Pour out the nuts, bolts, and rust.
To beeswax the inside of a canteen: Melt approximately 2oz. of beeswax in a clean washed out soup can. This is best done by placing the wax in the soup can, and the soup can in an empty coffee can on your stove. Add water to the coffee can to a couple inches of depth. Boil the water, and the wax in the soup can melts without burning. Have one person wearing oven mitts hold the canteen while a second person using an oven mit pours the melted beeswax from the soup can into the canteen. Quickly put the cork into the canteen and turn the canteen every which way to spread the beeswax on all inner surfaces of the canteen. Pull the cork and let the canteen cool with the cork out.
